Documentation

The documentation process consists of the following steps:

  • Interview

The interview consists of obtaining information about the owner of the quilt, and any known history of the quilt.  Also, the genealogy of the quilt maker is recorded, if known.  Sample forms can be viewed with the following links:

  • Photo

Every quilt is photographed in full view, and in detail.  A full view photo is printed immediately and is available to the quilt owner.

  • Quilt documentation

The quilt is described in detail, examined by a quilt expert.  See pages 2 and 3 of the Information Form above.

  • There is no charge for the documentation process.  Quilt owners may purchase a copy of the documentation documents, and a photo, for $5.00.  Written appraisals are available for a separate charge.
